Wanna know a secret? Most woman are tired ALL of the time. I always thought it was just me but it turns out it's all of us. We wake up tired, and we go to bed tired. We multitask and serve everyone all day and usually there is nothing left.
I used to feel tired all the time. I had very little energy, for many years, the couch was my favorite place.
I discovered something though. It's not normal to feel that way! You can do something about it and actually feel amazing every single day - the way you were meant to feel.
Here are 3 things you can do to feel ENERGIZED and HAPPY everyday and not just once in a while:
1. HOLD OFF ON THE COFFEE A BIT
If you drink a cup of coffee (or two) every morning, hold off until at least an hour after you've woken up. That caffeine jolt gives you a false sense of energy and it doesn't do much for long term vitality. What your body really needs in the morning is WATER. Your brain, your muscles, and every other organ and system in your body need it to operate and function properly. So be sure to drink a very large glass of water first thing in the morning before you do anything else.
*TIP: Add some fresh squeezed key lime juice (super-food alert!) to your water for an extra boost. And for an even better effect, drink two big glasses of water.
Yup. You have to. I know you don't want to, but you have to. There is no way around it. Anyone that tells you that you can skip this step is lying to you. Your muscles need to be exercised. Your heart (a pretty important muscle) needs to be exercised.
The biggest reason why people age and end up needing assisted living is because their muscles are not strong enough to move around or perform simple tasks like getting up off the toilet. Develop those muscles now and you will stay strong and mobile even as you age.
Plus studies have shown that exercise is more effective against depression than prescription medication. Your body needs at least 30 to 60 minutes 3 to 5 times a week of heart-pumping, endorphin-releasing, serious activity.
If you struggle with keeping yourself on track and consistent, try Orange Theory. They will charge you if you don't show up to class and that is usually enough to get my booty in there every time.
*TIP: If money is an issue, exercise at home. There are great apps like SWORKIT that are free and will customize a work out to you. The nice thing is that you can start with 15 or even 7 minute workouts and then work your way up from there.
3. OIL UP
When I discovered essential oils I realized that they are truly a missing link I never even knew was missing. When I started using them daily I noticed a serious boost in my energy levels.
The way I describe it is like a fog cloud lifted off of me. For many years I felt like I was going through the day in a daze. I was sluggish and slow and had a hard time enjoying life. The oils changed all of that for me.
I carry them with me in my purse (you can buy fun carrying cases here and here).
One day I was driving to the zoo with my boys, and I took my oils out of my case at a traffic light. I smelled all the oils in there (they were the ones from the everyday oils collection). I opened the bottles one by one and with a deep inhale, smelled each one. I noticed later that day that I felt soooooo much better than usual. The fog was gone! I had a really good day that day. So the next day I did the same thing, and the next, and the day after that.
The fog cloud has not been back since.
*TIP: Do not try this with cheap oils - it won't work. Only use therapeutic grade oils like the ones from Young Living. Their starter is very reasonably priced and you get A TON for your money. Also don't forget email me, I'll send you a free gift valued at over $30 filled with resources and other goodies to help you out, because there is a lot to know when you use oils, and I want to be sure you have everything you need
